Skomvær XXIX
A serene fine-art print from my ongoing Skomvær series, inspired by the remote landscape of Lofoten, Norway.
The Skomvær lighthouse stands small against a vast northern landscape, framed by distant mountains and a softly glowing sky. Muted gold, grey and blue tones dissolve into the calm sea, creating a spacious and contemplative image that evokes the solitude and changing light of the far northern coast.
The Skomvær series has a deeply personal connection for me. My great-grandmother's diary from 1896–1900 records her experiences connected with Skomvær, and I have been exploring this remote place through watercolour for several years.
This reproduction is made from my original watercolour painting and is available as a premium fine-art paper print, with optional passepartout and natural oak framing.
