The Skomvær lighthouse appears in the distance beneath a vast luminous sky, with soft grey-blue clouds, muted violet tones and a pale glow over the water.

The Skomvær series has a deeply personal connection for Zax. Her great-grandmother's diary from 1896–1900 records her experiences connected with Skomvær, and Zax has been exploring this remote place through watercolour for several years.

Each print is made from the original watercolour and is available as a premium fine-art paper print, with optional passepartout and natural oak framing.

Artwork: Skomvær XXVIII
Artist: Zax (Zakia Khan)
Location: Skomvær, Lofoten, Norway
Medium: Original watercolour
Product: Fine-art paper print
Finishes: Unframed or natural oak frame, with or without passepartout

Size
A3 (42 × 29.7 cm) or A2 (59.4 × 42 cm) — choose according to the size you want for your wall.

Frame
No Frame — print only.
Oak Nature — the print is supplied in a natural oak frame.

Passepartout
No border — the print is supplied without a passepartout.
Freja — a white/neutral passepartout surrounding the artwork.

Free shipping.

Product safety information (GPSR)

Manufacturer: Art by Zax, Norrbackagatan 27A, lgh 0902, 11334 Stockholm, Sweden, zax.khan@gmail.com

EU Responsible Person: Printumo ApS, Pilestræde 41, 2, 1112 København K, Denmark, hello@printumo.com

Safety information: Decorative wall art. One of the unique charms of watercolour is its natural variation: subtle irregularities, uneven washes and other traces of the original painting process are part of the medium’s character.

I have deliberately chosen not to alter or digitally retouch the original paintings when preparing these prints. The prints therefore preserve the natural character and imperfections of the original watercolour. These are not defects, but part of what makes each painting unique.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1097/1041/0067/files/mockup-storefront_462f1276-eccc-4aa0-82e2-2d913aceebab.jpg?v=1787904149
